Jackie Joseph is the founder and Managing Director of the company. He holds a Higher Diploma in education and a post-graduate certificate in BBBEE management from Unisa. He is a tried and tested entrepreneur with vast experience in general and project management, and a former school manager.
With more than 10 years of managerial work experience at various institutions, he is responsible for the management of all projects under Excodor 178 Cc and is a prominent member of community formations.
We are incredibly proud to announce the securing of a long-term lease agreement with the Agricultural Research Council (ARC).
This landmark 9-year and 11-month lease provides Khoisan Doepa with approximately 228.54 hectares of prime farmland at the "Langkloof Research Farm" in the Eastern Cape. Commencing in July 2026, this expansive property will be dedicated to farming vegetables, fruit, and operating related agricultural businesses. This secures a stable, expansive foundation for our future agricultural and community development initiatives.
Our journey in the egg industry began informally in 2007. Today, we are rapidly scaling our operations. With an off-take agreement from a major South African supplier, we are starting with 80,000 layers and working towards 120,000 by the end of 2027.
The South African Poultry Association (SAPA) has indicated its support for this project. This initiative is projected to create 25 temporary jobs during construction and 15 permanent jobs, targeting youth and women. Furthermore, we intend to empower new entrants in townships to produce small quantities of eggs to be marketed through Khoisan Doepa.
Investment in agricultural ventures inherently carries risks, which can be significantly mitigated through robust education and capacity-building frameworks. By equipping the local workforce with practical, accredited skills, we create a resilient operational environment capable of adapting to modern farming techniques and ensuring long-term project sustainability.
